2024 LPOA Pool Rules

  1. Members must always present their card to enter.
  2.  Members may bring in a guest.  Only1 Guest / 1 Member will be allowed in and must pay 5.00 per guest.  A maximum of 3 guest per family are allowed.  3 Family Members Present = 3 Guest
  3. Guests MUST enter with members and MUST leave when the member leaves.

Special Hours during Swim Lessons and Swim Team Practice June 6 - June 16th

June 19th through Sunday before NLRSD School Starts in August 2023

Due to weather conditions and school, Please check this page to confirm any changes to the schedule. Swim meets will be held approximately 2-3 Saturday’s per year. The pool will open following clean up after the swim meet.

LAKEWOOD SWIMMING POOL UPDATES

*CHECK THIS AREA FOR UPDATES FOR ISSUES THAT MAY AFFECT POOL HOURS/OPERATIONS.* **NEW 2023 ADVISORY NOTICE TO ALL OF OUR 2023 FULL MEMBERS WHEN NLR WEATHER SERVICE ISSUES HEAT OR SEVERE WEATHER WARNINGS THIS SUMMER ......POOL HOURS MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITH OUT NOTICE DURING EXTREME HEAT WARNINGS!** LPOA Pool Extreme Heat Rule and Dangerous Storm Policy: In the event of an Excessive Heat Warning that has been issued by the NLR Weather Service we will use a Flag System to notify visitors about potential pool closures during the hottest part of the day due to an excessive/dangerous Heat Index. The LPOA POOL CLOSURE Heat Index Number IS 110 DEGREES as determined by the official reading at the NLR Weather Service. To clarify, the Heat Index is defined as (Temperature & Humidity combined to make it Feel Like 110 degrees or higher). The Green, Yellow, Red Flag system will be used inside the pool and outside the pool for Dangerously High Heat Indexes, Dangerous Storms, or other conditions that may develop. We have a new real-time notification system app is now available that will keep you up to date on the status of the pool and any other event that is hosted at one of our Lakewood sports fields or parks. Please download the “rained out app” from your google or apple app store and type in Lakewood then select “Lakewood Rain Out” if you plan on going to the pool this summer or play/coach sports during the year!! FLAG COLOR NOTIFICATION At the Pool for POOL MEMBERS. Three main-colored flags will be used to alert pool guests whether or not the pool is open. These flags will be displayed (1) Outside of the pool entry area and (2) Inside the POOL Area. The flag color will represent the following conditions: A GREEN Flag means that the Pool IS OPEN and should remain open all day unless a Heat or Stormy Weather Watch or Warning is issued. A YELLOW Flag means that a Heat or Stormy Weather Watch or Warning has been issued but the pool will remain Cautiously OPEN until the HI reaches 110 degrees or a dangerous storms develop. Otherwise, the pool will remain open for that day. A RED Flag will be displayed when the heat index actually hits 110 or higher. At this temperature, the Pool will be CLOSED and remained closed until the temperature falls below the critical level. The RED – POOL CLOSED Flag will also be displayed when Dangerous/Stormy weather is about to or already occurring or if the pool needs to be closed for some other reason. We want to apologize in advance for any inconvenience may cause but would like to thank you for your understanding!! The ultimate goal for our Pool Staff and Members is for everyone's SAFETY!
